GREAT NEWS!!! We are proud to announce that Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Academy was the OVERALL SECOND PLACE WINNER in the October 27, 2010 Scholastic Olympics tied with St. John’s The Apostle in Clark.

The 39th annual Scholastic Olympics held at Roselle Catholic High School where all the Catholic Schools in Union County come together to compete.

Godspell Performance Appreciation Pizza Party

As special thanks to all the students that performed in the Godspell spring show, Father Benedict treated them to a pizza party.

An additional special appreciation bonus came unexpectedly from one of the parents, Mrs. Tibbs whom awarded the children with trophy’s for all their hard work.

SMEA Annual Field Day, a day of fun and a little healthy team building competition.

The students had a chance to compete vs. parents, there was a parent vs. parent and student vs. student competition and so much more. It turned out to be a very eventful and fun day for all who participated.

Reptile Education Activity

Pre-K thru second graders had the opportunity to discover many different species of reptiles they would not ordinarily come across in their every day lives.

The children learned about the habitats, food they eat and how it’s digested by each reptile, where they are located in the world and mortality information.

It was a very informative and exciting activity that all the kids enjoyed.

SME Academy Places 2nd in Forensics Competition

David Tibbs, a student at Saints Mary & Elizabeth Academy in Linden, NJ displays the 2nd place award ribbon he won at this years Declamation competition held by the Union County Catholic League of Forensics on February 22nd.

The members of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Academy Forensics Team did outstanding work at the Declamation competition held by the Union County Catholic League of Forensics on February 22nd. David Tibbs, won 2nd place for his moving rendition of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
